Hello Greater Smith Chapel,

These fourteen years of Pastoral ministry has been an adventure. There have been many heart-breaking burdens. There have been many mind-blowing blessings. But I believe both have come from the good and wise providence of God.

As I look back on more than a decade of ministry now, with all of its ups, downs, and challenges, my natural, immediate, and overwhelming response is thanksgiving to God!

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” – Psalm 115:1

God deserves the highest praise and full credit for all that He has done. I dare not take credit for anything. To God alone be all the glory. But I must admit, not only has my ministry at the Greater Smith Chapel been blessed of the Lord, but I am also the undeserving beneficiary of a wonderful congregation. You all were a great church before it ever knew a creature named YoLanda Jones Colton ever existed. I have every confidence that it will continue to be a great church in the years to come if my ministry to the congregation ends tomorrow. But I give thanks to the Lord to be the pastor-teacher-servant leader of this great church during this season of its life and ministry.

Bro. Greg and I  count ourselves blessed to serve such a warm, loving, sweet-spirited and friendly congregation. I love my church! And I am grateful for these two and a half years of pastoral ministry with you. I'm THANKFUL to have shared in birth of babies, blessings of marriage, prayers and visits during sickness, trials,  tribulations, comfort during times of bereavement and joy and laughter during outings and phone conversations. I'm also THANKFUL for the overwhelming LOVE and SUPPORT that Bro. Greg and I have received during this season. God has been so kind! He's so Faithful and we're eternally grateful!

Finally, GREATER Smith, I pray the Lord would make me forward, further and favoured in growth, health, and fruitfulness for Him!

Love and Blessings,

Grace and Peace!
